The Facilities

A modernist farmhouse, set in a garden inspired by the Brazilian landscaper Roberto Buhle Marx, refurbished to accommodate up to 14 residents, sharing a generous kitchen, dining areas, lounge, workshop and studio space, with views across the valley.

There are 5 bedrooms, each with the option for a double or twin single beds. A separate sixth room downstairs can accommodate 4 single beds or can be used as a dedicated studio space.

Residencies and workshops are full-board, fully serviced, including WIFI connection, laundry, house keeping and basic security.

Adjoining The Hub is a 300sqm open cattle shed suitable for hosting large groups and installations  with a spectacular view over the Cradle of Humankind.

The Hub offers residents access to over 600h of diverse highveld landscape incorporating cattle sheds, farm workshops, regenerative agricultural fields, with grazing cattle on sweeping veldts.

The neighbouring FARMHOUSE58 retreat provides, at cost, an open game vehicle shuttle for excursions and collaborative interaction with cultural and social activities across the valley.

The Hub operates under the joint management of NIROX and FARMHOUSE58 for no consideration, as part of their contribution to creative and community development.

These facilities are available at a subsidized cost which covers operating expenses only.

NIROX and FARMHOUSE58 assist prospective residents to arrange branch funding where necessary.
